Do’s on Cyber Security

💻Keep your computer/Mobile free of malware.

🔑Use hard-to-guess passwords or passphrases. A password should be of minimum 10 characters using combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters, to make it easy for you to remember but hard for an attacker to guess. Change your password periodically and avoid using guessable passwords. Use different passwords for different accounts. If one password gets hacked, your other accounts are not compromised.

🌐Ensure that the URL in your browser address bar begins with “https”.

🔐Ensure that the address bar displays the padlock symbol.

📢Click the padlock to view and verify the security certificate.

📢🌐Please see to it that the address bar turns green indicating that the site is secured with an SSL Certificate that meets the Extended Validation Standard.

🔑🌐(SSL is compatible for IE 7.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox 3.1 and above, Opera 9.5 and above, Safari 3.5 and above, Google Chrome).

💻Be careful while entering important Banking credentials in public places to avoid shoulder surfing.

📴Keep your mobile phones locked to avoid unwanted access to your data. In case of loss of mobile, please block your mobile number immediately.

📵Always  logout of online accounts or banking applications when you are done with all transactions.

🔗⚠️Beware of Phishing attacks
(Phishing is a fraudulent attempt, usually made through email, phone calls, SMS etc. seeking your personal and confidential information).

⚠️Report all suspicious activity and cyber incidents to the Bank at the earliest to avoid possible frauds and for Bank to take necessary action. 

👷Keep Customer helpline number, email IDs handy.

Don't Cyber Security

📧Never respond to any communication seeking your User ID, Password, mPIN, OTP etc. through any medium like SMS, Emails or calls.

📝🔑Never  reveal your passwords or card details to anyone (Bank or any of its representative never sends you email/SMS or calls you over phone to get your personal information, password or one-time SMS (high security) password).

📧👷Any such e-mail/SMS or phone call is an attempt to fraudulently withdraw money from your account. Please report immediately on report.phishing@(your bank website) if you receive any such email/SMS or Phone call. Please lock your user access immediately, if you have accidentally revealed your credentials.

🗣️📞Do not share your debit card details and expiry date with anyone, Bank never asks such details.

📶🆓Don’t use public shared Wi-Fi network while using your Mobile Banking application or doing any financial transactions as public networks are inherently insecure.

💿💾Never record any credentials anywhere and stick to your memory for remembering your passwords or Banking credentials.

📧Don’t open mail or attachments from an untrusted source. Cyber attackers often use them to trick you into visiting malicious sites and downloading malware that can be used to steal data and damage networks.

💻📱Never install unauthorized application on your Mobile. Malicious applications often pose as legitimate software. Avoid downloading applications from third party sites or untrusted sources.

🔗Don’t plug personal devices with any unauthorized external devices like USB flash drives, MP3 players etc.

🖇️Never leave devices unattended.

📱Avoid to check ‘Keep me logged in’ or ‘Remember me’ options on websites, especially on public computers or someone else’s handset.

📱💻Avoid saving your credit/debit card information on any application.
🗣️👥Do not disclose your SIM number to anyone.
